Winter Soldier, Punk Edit Mk. I

Marvel Studios/ Custom Cosplay

"Metal" Arm
Design On Back Of Jacket

My first proper cosplay and the first costume I made.

Originally made for Halloween 2015, the arm and the badhes are the only thing I made specifically for this costume: The rest are just items that were customised.

Because it was made on a budget and tight time frame, this arm was made using 2mm Plastazote and covered in a layer of duct tape to give it strength and create a grey/silver base colour that could be painted on. It's made up of 3 pieces: Shoulder and bicep (connected with an elastic strip on the inside) and the forarm. It is held in place with a strap going around the chest and secured using velcro. All the detail is painted on using acrylic paint.

For the hand and the elbow I used a white ballgown glove and used a Sharpie to draw on the details. This was then worn under the forarm part of the arm.

The jacket is a plain black denim jacket that I removed the sleeves from. I then drew up a design based loosely on Captain America's Stealth Suit from the movie The Winter Soldier. Using that I made a template and used spray paint to paint the design.

The tshirt was a simple grey top that I painted using acrylic paint to add to the self-made punk style I was trying to go for.
